Swedish defenceman Sebastian Aho was injured in the exhibition game against Canada on Wednesday and won’t play at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The player of Skelleftea AIK – not to be mistaken with the Finnish U20 national team forward of the same name – was hit by a puck at his larynx and taken to hospital immediately. He will stay there for observation and the estimated recovery time is four to six weeks.
