During the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Toronto and Montreal, visitors at the 2016 World Juniors promotion stand were asked to write a letter to Santa. One letter would be picked up in the spring and the lucky winner would get a trip for two to visit the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship in Helsinki.

Santa’s helpers at the OC office in Helsinki received more than 2,000 letters, all of them sent by hockey fans eager to participate at the 2016 World Juniors in Helsinki.

Team Canada fan Jenna Waugh was picked up as the lucky winner as the raffle was carried out by Finnish national team coach Kari Jalonen. Jenna, who at first couldn’t believe the announcement from Finland was for real, is more than thrilled about the upcoming trip to Helsinki. Later on we’ll see, who is the lucky one Jenna brings along with her.
