Tickets for the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship will be sold soon.
The ticket sale keeps on speeding up as the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship in Helsinki gets closer.

With less than a month before the first puck drop, the overall ticket sale for the championship at the Helsinki Ice Hall and Hartwall Arena has passed the 120,000 landmark. The final day is practically sold out and also to some of the preliminary round days only a few seats are available.

“For the final day, a few single tickets might still be released for sale from the international quotas, but at least groups should already look into other options. Luckily there are other exciting games played at both arenas during the preliminary round and play-offs,” says Timo Bäckman, the General Secretary of the Organizing Committee.

At Hartwall Arena where home team Finland plays, two game days have filled up quickly as well. There are still tickets available to the opening day on 26 December and New Year’s Eve while 28 and 30 December are almost fully booked. For the time being, tickets to the quarter-finals and semi-finals are still available.

At Helsinki Ice Hall, tickets can so far be bought to all the games of the tournament. Foreign tourists especially from Canada and Sweden are expected to fill up the seats during the preliminary round.

All World Junior tickets are sold as venue-based day tickets meaning that one ticket will open doors to all the games played on one day in the chosen venue.

Prices for children under 12 years vary from €6-8 depending on the day. There is also a special ticket category for youngsters under 20 years of age, the prices for these tickets vary between €6 and 15.

For adults, World Junior tickets cost €11-29 for the preliminary round and quarter-finals, €39 for semi-finals and €49 for the final day.

There is also a Prime Seat category for both arenas. The best seats at the lower level cost between €11-59 depending on the day.

World Juniors tickets are sold by Finnish ticket operator Lippupiste. During the event, ticket sale points will operate at the game venues.
