While the players are still battling for roster spots until December, the officials for the event are known as the IIHF assigned 22 men from 13 countries to call the games in Helsinki.

All of them are also battling for a spot at the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Russia as they are on the long list.

In total the IIHF has named 449 on-ice officials – referees and linesmen, female and male – for its international tournaments during the 2015/2016 ice hockey season including the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship program, six men’s Olympic Qualification events that will take place this season, the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer and the first three tournaments of the Continental Cup.
